ADDICTED TO COUPONS!!

So this last weekend we went to the funeral for Tanner and then it was my nieces birthday and she turned 8 years old I cannot believe that she is that old already seemed like yesterday that she was being born! She is getting baptized in July with her cousin so that family only has to travel once. We had so much fun we all got up really early on Saturday to go to yard sales I have to say that is one of our favorite things to do together we almost got to all of them and there was alot... Went to an estate sale and they had things for sale in the house and you just asked to see them if you were interested and I am pretty sure that my family should have just bought the house considering that we bough everything in it... We all got sunburns from playing on the four wheelers the rest of the day and then we went and seen Pirates of the Caribbean 3..

But what I really wanted to write about today was my shopping trip with my sister Keara she is addicted to coupons as much as I am maybe even worse.. She had all her coupons and her price matched items all listed and ready to go...Her total was $350 and after coupons and priced matched Items she only paid $190.00 Freaking amazing I was so excited for her and she was too!!! Right away I got more into it... I have always loved coupons but was never aggressive enough to show huge savings...So I have this new favorite blog listed in my blog lists!! Love it so helpful and shows you how to begin and everything!! Can't wait until my husband gets back to work so I can use my coupons and start saving money!!!

In Memory Of Tanner Smith

My cousin Tanner Smith has been fighting cancer for many years and late last night we got the phone call that he had passed away in the Primary Children's Hospital May 14th 2011. I was very shocked and I just couldn't believe it. He was in so much pain and we know now that he is no longer in pain and that he is sealed to his parents and brothers and sister's for eternity and that they will see him again..We will miss Tanner he had a motto through out all the cancer "Forever Strong" we all had wrist bands that said this on it and he was a hero to us all... He never wanted to give up he never wanted to stop things that where happening in his life including getting a mission call to Baton Rough, Louisiana but never got to go because the cancer had come back.

My last memory of Tanner that I have being with him was the summer that we did Relay for Life in Brigham City at Pioneer Park in 2010 the whole family came together and we had shirts and we sold tons of different things to help raise money to get more funds for research to help cure cancer...We played in a softball tournament too!! And through all this it was a over night event and someone in your group needed to be awake through the whole night whether you switched off with others or whatever it took...I stayed up all night and didn't sleep at all! I have to idea why but I felt very humbled as I sat through the whole night thinking about life and what Tanner has been through and that I could do this one night for him...We raised around $500.00 dollars and we where thrilled about it we all had sun burns and over all a great experience....

We will miss our Tanner and we love him and know that he is serving his mission in heaven now! I love my Family and how this has brought us together and how we have learned to serve each other in every way possible! We Love you and think about you everyday.

Zack Surgery!

OK so alot has happened the last couple weeks as many of you know Zack has a bulged disk in his lower back and had very sharp pains down his leg. So we have been going to Dr. Bean and he put on through the process of meds home exercises and nothing was helping I mean nothing even to the point that it was getting worse....So I ended up taking him to the ER last Tuesday night really knowing that there was nothing that they could do but just give him the good meds! MORPHINE!!! And that is exactly what they did it at least got him through the night so that he could sleep..Then I called Dr. Bean office the next day to talk to the MA and see what she thought and she said lets move his appt. up and get him in for an MRI and see what is really going on... So we got through the MRI really hard for him to hold still cause you really have to be still or everything comes out blurry. We had a follow up appt. 3 days later. We walked in to doctors office and he said that he saw his MRI results and it doesn't look good at all and that the shots wouldn't help and that we just need to go right into having the surgery...We both looked at each other knowing that Zack doesn't get paid time off and he would be out of work or any activities for at least 2-3 months!! PANIC!

On the other side of this we were really excited because that meant some relief that we have been hoping for the last 6 months..Surgery was on May 9th 2011 at 4:00pm we where running some errands trying to stay busy and we got a phone call from the Davis Hospital at 3:15 saying that they need to redraw his blood again his White blood cells came back really high at 14 on last Friday from the pre-op..So we jumped in the car and got there and they said that if it comes back to high still then they will have to decide if he can have surgery or not cause that means that there is an infection somewhere in his body and that doesn't help to heal after surgery...All makes Since..... so it came back at a 7 which is normal they started right away getting him ready for surgery it was an hour and a half surgery and then he would be taken to the 3rd floor for recovery overnight..I really wasn't nervous I had tons of family there with me and there support means so much to us...Next thing I knew they where coming in to get me to see him and go to the room with him..He looked up at me and his eyes where blood shot he was feeling good!! He grabbed my shirt and pulled me in to give me a kiss and he completely missed and it happened to fast I couldn't make sure to aim right....He said right away that he was feeling better which we had been told before that you feel better immediately after cause the bulged disk isn't pinching his nerve anymore which is scary cause most people think that they can just jump right back into the daily stuff cause they feel so much better. He was able to get up and walk around and eat something and keep it down so he got to go home the next morning around 10:30am. Dr.Svagr was the surgeon and he said that he recommended that Zack find a new line of work cause this surgery is something that happens to 40+ year olds...I had the first week off with him and was able to watch him and make sure that he really takes it easy.. He has been ok he was feeling some pain yesterday and so he just layed down and did nothing....Stay Tuned Pictures to come!!!

On top of all this the baby plans have been put on hold for now and it has been a hard thing but I have come to know for myself that this is why we weren't getting pregnant there was something else that was needing to happen first and someone knows that I couldn't be pregnant and help Zack get through surgery and through the recover! Zack said that we will be starting again without a doubt!! LOVE HIM!!

We had Mal's BABY SHOWER yesterday it was alot of work but she loved it and she got a ton of stuff! Lots of family support!

Will post pictures Soon!!!

POOR ZACK!

I cannot tell you how bad I feel for Zack right now last night I just lost it cause I see him in so much pain and there is nothing that I can do to help..It got so bad last night that I called Dr. Beans on call doctor and he said that there really is nothing that you can do when it comes to a bulged disk and pain shooting down his leg. So he just said to get a comfortable as possible and when you find the spot stay there he did also send more meds to the pharmacy for Zack's Norco to get us through until Monday.. Monday Zack is getting a cortizone shot and we are praying that it will help he got one in his shoulder and it has helped so much to the point that there hasn't been pain for a couple years! We are really hopeful that it will work... I also have a doctors appt Monday at 9:15 to have a ultrasound to see if I have eggs! So overall should be a very fun day together then we get to some home and work on the Grapefruit (Zack's work car) it needs a new head gasket those are always fun to work on... We had a really fun easter with my family in Brigham I got to see the temple and how fast it is being built I can't believe that my home town is getting a temple we refer it to the promise land! Well that is about all that is going on with us hopefully tomarrow goes really good and we get to see something good come from the shot!! Wish us luck!
